In their paper published in September, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers organisation (“ICANN”) have shown their commitment to creating a WHOIS Disclosure System, with the scope of connecting requestors seeking nonpublic registration data with the relevant ICANN-accredited registrars for gTLD domain names. The ICANN organization estimates development of the WHOIS Disclosure System would take approximately nine months.
